Since the day I was born I have had very severe eczema and as I've got older I've experienced how much it can effect my life it many different ways like confidence issues and just dealing with it on a daily basis.
Because I know how hard it can be having a skin condition, that is considered minor compared to others, I really want to help other people that also suffer from eczema.
Most babies are born with eczema but usually grow out of it like my brother for example. I never grew out of it and to this day still have it, but it is nowhere near as bad as it has been.
Like I said I've had it all my life but it only really started getting to me when I started secondary school and it got a whole lot worse. I think it got worse because of the stress of starting a new school and meeting new people.
My skin was literally terrible, on my face my skin would be so dry it would peel off and weep under my eyes and I would have to use tissues to wipe it away. I remember that one day at school I just looked in the mirror and I felt physically sick with what I saw that I pretended that I was sick and went home and just cried to my mum telling her how bad it is and that was when I really needed to do something about it. Don't get me wrong it wasn't like I wasn't using anything for it, I've tried many creams like E45 but none have worked.
Obviously the first thing people saw was my face so I did get a few nasty comments made like 'spotty' or 'scabby' and lots of people would say 'what's wrong with your face!' But now I think back at that and realise how horrible those people were and now I get compliments on how nice my skin has got from people that saw me go through that stage in my life.
So after that I went to a dermatologist and they finally prescribed me with ointments that actually worked. I got aload of things I needed to use, Betnovate, Hydrocortisone , anti - histomin tablets and this horrible lardy stuff that I cant remember the name of but it didnt help anyway!
Hydrocortisone was literally the best thing thats ever happend in the history of me haha! If you have eczema SERIOUSLY ask you doctor to prescribe you that shizz it helps sosososososososo muchh! When I woke up the next day after putting it on, my skin was so much better straight away that I went to school withough any make-up on at all! And that was the first time I used it!
I will write a part 2 later on, thanks for reading:) <3xx
